I'M JEN.
Most would describe me as a Mother of two beautiful daughters, a daughter myself, a sister, a physical therapist or physiotherapist, a flamenco dancer, private practice founder, small business owner---a multi-faceted woman who is living with scoliosis.
My background includes a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Physiology from the WVU School of Medicine- graduating Cum Laude. A Master of Physical Therapy graduating with Honors from Nova Southeastern University. One of the first 6 Schroth Certified Physical Therapists in the USA. My International German Schroth Certification was granted by Asklepios Katharina-Schroth-Klinik, Bad Sobernheim after the coursework taught at the Instituto Elena Salvá Scoliosis Rehabilitation Center by Dr. Manuel Rigo in Barcelona, Spain. My private practice specializes in the conditions of scoliosis, kyphosis, posture and dance medicine.
With over two decades of experience as a physical therapist, and a dancer, and almost two decades as a specialist, I have an expertise and passion that has grown into creating a company focused on helping to promote choice awareness for those living with scoliosis, kyphosis and posture changes.
My friends, family and colleagues are familiar with my passionate advocacy for scoliosis, kyphosis and postural awareness. Driven to advocate for more choice in management approaches, improve access to education for this population, to promote early detection and screening strategies for all ages–especially during life changes.
Through a creative approach, I help advocate and educate through comprehensive coursework and fun postural choreographies set to music to build a daily home postural practice.
Collectively these experiences lead to the creation of my newest venture ScoliOcean, LLC, a company that gives back to scoliosis & kyphosis and also gives back to ocean conservation and restoration.
